Thanks to the CUTE kernel, CUTE allows you simple and transparent access to any signature keys, wherever they are stored.

CUTE kernel is the base of the solution, it allows you:
- To access hardware and software (Secure) Signature Creation Devices (SSCD).
- To filter certificates, matching various criteria like the certification authority, certification policy or key constraints.
- To perform cryptographic signing.
...with any cryptographic token!
Thanks to the use of standard interfaces, CUTE kernel is capable of transparently using keys and certificates stored in any cryptographic token:
- Smartcards, USB keys and Hardware Security Module via PKCS#11.
- Windows certificate store via the MS-CAPI interface.
- Mozilla certificate store via the Network Security Services interface.
- PKCS#12 files.
In other words, it can use certificates stored anywhere!
