Serenity is fast
Serenity is a stand-alone server that handles everything, from incoming connection to actual validation. We have worked hard to reduce the number of layers and optimize each of them to offer the highest performances.
To ensure the highest performances, Serenity offers its own validation mechanisms of certificate chains.
Unless you use fiber, you will most likely be limited by your network connection speed before being limited by Serenity.
Actually it is even faster
And should you need to validate hundreds of million documents per year, Serenity can easily be installed in a cluster, in order to provide high availability and scalability.
You can also use the provided integration library or the expert Web Services API to delegate some simple preprocessing to the client and drastically reduce network transmissions.
At this speed though, just be careful not to run out of disk space for the event journal!
