Long term protection
Do you need the ability to revalidate a signature after a long period of time? One year, two years, three years? Or even more?
Serenity allows you to extend some signature formats so that the signatures can remain verifiable by third parties many years after their creation.
Beyond the validation, the extended validation
That's a fact, Serenity validates electronic signatures. But Serenity offers an extended validation mode too.
The lifetime of a signature is bound to the cryptographic algorithms and the numerous certificates used. To allow further validations, Serenity extends the signature thanks to the properties of the advanced signature formats, and to the addition of a new timestamp token.
The extended validation mode creates a more lasting proof than the initial signature.
And beyond Serenity?
Serenity processes documents one by one, based on the advanced signature format (CAdES-A, XAdES-A, or PAdES-LTV). And the detailed parameters of the extension must be supplied each time.
Not fast and easy enough to deal with hundreds of million of documents a year... To do so, our server Perennity allows batch processing, using a unique format, ERS, dedicated to cryptographic archiving.
